The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is a
graduate program of study comprised of 39-42 semester hours of graduate coursework designed for individuals with non-education bachelor’s degrees who seek professional development and training for a career in teaching. Saint Leo University’s blended MAT program offers you the best of both worlds – the flexibility of an online program combined with classroom experience and the credibility of an established university.

Most students may be able to complete the degree within two years. Students who choose to accelerate their studies may finish sooner. Those students wishing to accelerate their degree program may do so by taking three courses per semester.

The MAT is a blended/online curriculum that combines online coursework with a 16 week school-based internship.

Saint Leo University’s Education Program has built a solid reputation in the educational community as a quality program that produces tomorrow’s leaders in the classroom.
