Dr. B. Tim Lowder is an Assistant Professor of Management and chair of the Department of Management & Business Administration in the Donald R. Tapia School of Business at Saint Leo University.
He is a professional member of the American Academy of Financial Management, Institute of E-Commerce Consultants, Association of Professionals in Business Management, Institute of Certified Management Accountants, South Carolina Board of Accountancy, and the American Society of Notary Publics.
Dr. Lowder holds a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Winthrop University and a Doctorate in Management and Organization from Capella University.
Prior to joining academia, he held numerous positions in business, including that of president, chief financial officer, management training director, and management consultant.
His professional and research interests include accounting, finance, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, strategic planning, organization theory, and leadership.
Dr. Lowder has authored numerous articles featured in both industry and academic publications and has been a featured presenter before the International Symposium of Entrepreneurial Marketing.
Dr. Lowder received a special recognition award from the United States Small Business Administration for his contributions to training and development in the area of youth entrepreneurial development. He has also worked extensively with the Boy Scouts of America helping prospective Eagle Scouts attain merit badges.
