Dr. Caldwell is an Associate Professor of Economics and Chair of the Department of Accounting, Economics & Finance in the Donald R. Tapia School of Business.

She holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Economics, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Leo, she spent 10 years in electronic and pharmaceutical manufacturing, holding various positions in manufacturing operations, including program and production planning and control management.
Her professional and research interests include nursing home quality and access to care, the impact of mathematical ability on success in principles of economics classes, and interactive technology in the classroom.
While pursuing her doctorate, she was the recipient of the National Science Foundation's Doctoral Dissertation Research Grant and the Howard S. Dye Memorial Scholarship in Economics.
