Bruce Hammond Ph.D.

Dr. Bruce Hammond is a Professor of Communication and Management in the Donald R. Tapia School of Business at Saint Leo University.

In addition to teaching at SLU, he has been on the faculties of Cornell University, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and Canisius College.

Dr. Hammond teaches all courses in the Communication Management program. He is also on the faculty of Saint Leo's MBA program.

Prior to joining the university, he was an Executive Consultant with Achieve Global, a company that provides consulting and training products and services to assist organizations in their quest to implement strategic interventions. His customers included General Physics, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Kimberly-Clark, Siemens, British Telecom (U.K.), Prudential Insurance, Ciba Vision, Elkay Manufacturing and Time Warner Cable, among others.

At one time, he simultaneously served as a contract chief executive officer of a healthcare facility and as the executive director of a professional organization. In these capacities, he served as a change agent to improve operations and increase sales and service quality.

Dr. Hammond has published books with Prentice Hall, McGraw-Hill, and Palgrave-Macmillan. He has also authored numerous articles for academic and business trade publications.

When not teaching, he spends time painting landscapes, writing, and working on his horse farm.
