Dr. Govoni serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Foreign Language Association, Florida Association of Teachers, the Sanibel ESOL Leadership Association, and the National TESOL Serial Publications Committee. In addition, she serves as an ESOL consultant for the Florida Department of Education.
