Dr. Stasio has been a part of the SLU faculty since 2001. She has a PH.D. in eighteenth-century British literature and rhetoric and composition. She is treasurer and newsletter secretary for the South Central Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and the editor for the British literature section of ECCB: The Eighteenth Century Current Bibliography. She is also the faculty advisor for the student book club both on campus and online.

My research interest is eighteenth-century British literature, including Jane Austen, Methodism, and depictions of piracy. I also have written on pedagogy, specifically feminism in the classroom.
