Dr. Humphries enjoys woodworking, especially on the lathe, though he also does other carpentry projects. He volunteers as a Pasco County Fireman, plays racquet ball, and bikes to campus as often as possible. He also enjoys training and playing with his two dogs, Loretta (a lab) and Charlie (a shepherd mutt). He was born and raised in the Natural State of Arkansas, but also enjoys the Mediterranean coast. He is currently working on two book-length projects, a study of Latin Pneumatology in the 5th and 6th centuries, and a new translation and commentary of a text on Christology from the year 430 (John Cassian’s On the Incarnation Against Nestorius).
