The Alpha, Alpha, Alpha chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, was chartered in 1990 to brevet distinction upon undergraduates, graduates, and scholars in academia, as well as upon professional writers who have recognized accomplishments in linguistic or literary realms of the English language.
To be eligible for membership, a student must have earned at least 45 semester hours of university credit, a minimum of two university courses in English language or literature beyond the usual requirements in Freshman English, and a grade point average of 3.50 or better overall and in English.
