A
major in environmental science is primarily designed to prepare students for employment as environmental scientists by government agencies industry, and environmental or engineering consulting firms. This major also prepares students for admission into graduate programs in biology or environmental science.
This program of study is reading, oral and writing intensive.
Environmental science majors earn credits from life and physical sciences that explore both facts and epistemologies employed by scientists. As a result, environmental science majors are not required to take the two scientific perspective courses.
