Each year, the Saint Leo University Alumni Association honors graduates for their outstanding achievements. You have the opportunity to identify qualified candidates from among the thousands of alumni of Saint Leo University, Saint Leo College, Saint Leo College Preparatory School, and Holy Name Academy.
Please submit your nomination by telling us for which award the nominee is being recommended and why you think this individual is deserving of the honor. Please include your contact information as well as the nominee’s. For each award, supporting documentation for nomination should include but is not limited to: resume, magazine articles/published works, certifications and newspaper clippings. Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award
This award is the highest honor bestowed by the Saint Leo University Alumni Association. The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award recognizes alumni who have dedicated their time, energy, talent, or financial resources towards the betterment of the University. Service can be in the form of an Alumni Association position (officer or committee member) or any involvement that advances the mission and core values of Saint Leo through dedicated volunteer efforts (e.g., Annual Fund volunteer, Admissions volunteer, Advancement event host, etc.)
Outstanding Service Award
The Saint Leo Outstanding Service Award recognizes distinguished service by an alumnus or alumna to a profession, to the university, to the Church, to the nation, or to humanity. The criterion for this award is a continuous record of distinguished service in a chosen field of endeavor that is related to the objectives and purposes of Saint Leo University.
Young Alumnus/Alumna Award
The Saint Leo University Young Alumnus/Alumna Award will be presented to an alumnus or alumna who has reached a significant level of achievement in his/her profession and who is a model of the quality and caliber of today’s Saint Leo student. The candidate, under 35 years of age, must have received a bachelor’s or master’s degree from Saint Leo within the past 10 years and achieved a significant level of distinction within his/her chosen field.
For all awards: Recipients can be nominated by any alumnus or alumna who is an active member of the Saint Leo Alumni Association or by self-nomination. Final nominations will be made by the Saint Leo Alumni Association Committee for Activities and Programs and a slate presented to the Saint Leo Alumni Association Board of Directors for selection of award winners. Current members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors are not eligible for nomination.
Awards will be presented to recipients during Alumni Weekend in the spring at University Campus in Saint Leo, Florida. Limited travel assistance reimbursement will be provided for the award winners only.
