September 05, 2008 — Saturday Mornings Mean Dr. Seuss And Coffee At Cannon
Families from our university community as well as our neighboring towns are welcome to bring their young children, ages 18 months to 7 years, to a reading program at 10:30 a.m. Saturday mornings at Cannon Memorial Library.
The program begins for the fall season Sept. 6.
The programs will be held in the browsing area of the library. Because the program is geared for such young children, sessions will be limited to 30 to 45 minutes, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
The readings will be selected and conducted by university staff and volunteers with a background in children’s literature. Cannon Memorial Library maintains a selection of children’s literature for the benefit of SLU students earning degrees in education.
