November 24, 2008 — Music, Tree-Lighting and More at Free Evening Event
Saint Leo University will host a Christmas Concert featuring the Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Saint Leo Abbey Church of the Holy Cross on the university’s main campus.
The Florida Orchestra Brass Quintet will perform a program of traditional Christmas music. The quintet has performed in the Tampa Bay area for many years. The members of the quintet are Robert Smith and Kenneth Brown on the trumpet; Brandon Beck, French horn; Dwight Decker, trombone; and William Mickelsen, tuba.
Following the concert, students will lead a candlelight procession to the university’s Christmas tree where a tree-lighting ceremony and caroling will take place. Refreshments will be served.
The event is free and open to the public.
Saint Leo University is located at 33701 State Road 52, four miles east of Interstate 75 (exit 285).
