The Master of Education with a concentration in Reading program is designed for working teachers who are interested in becoming Reading Specialists or who want to improve their skills while staying in the K-12 classroom. The 36 credit hour program includes coursework focused on helping you hone your teaching skills and is designed around the skills and competencies expected by the State of Florida for its leaders in reading instruction.
The program will take most students 24 months to complete, with most classes meeting eight times on Saturdays. Some coursework will also be available in 8-week online terms to increase flexibility.

Additionally, the Reading program is pleased to offer an 18-credit hour Graduate Certificate that is designed to align with the State of Florida expectations for the Reading Endorsement. Students who are interested in earning this certificate can attend classes with degree-seeking students while developing needed skills to be highly effective teachers.
