Dear Students:
We are pleased to provide via the
PDF document below the results of the second annual Student Satisfaction Survey. An MBA student satisfaction survey was conducted during the month of December 2007. The survey was circulated to students using their student email accounts. Five hundred and sixty seven surveys were completed for a response rate of approximately 76.7 %. In comparison the response rate for the survey in 2006 was less than 20%. It should be noted that there was a major change in the educational on-line platform from WebCT to eCollege during the time the survey was administered.
The purpose of the survey was to ascertain the views of current students with respect to their perceptions of the MBA program. The intent is to develop a base of empirical data which will assist in the continuous improvement of the MBA program. The attached report represents the second annual survey of this type. This report focuses on the findings that highlight student’s perspectives of the program in its many areas along with comparing findings with the baseline data from year one. The survey was developed to provide students with the opportunity to comment on the range of perspectives that they experience within the MBA from admissions to actual course work to the on-line technical experience. The survey contained fourteen questions including a number of open ended questions. It was designed to be completed in approximately twenty minutes and the intention is to repeat the survey on an annual basis to acquire temporal data.
The responses will assist in developing a continuous improvement quality initiative plan for the MBA program for 2008-2009 which will be available soon.
The 2008 survey will be distributed in the Fall.
