EdS in Educational Leadership Curriculum

The curriculum is divided into three clusters: Instructional Leadership (IL), Administrative Leadership (AL) and Evaluation Research (ER).

The six courses (18 hours) comprising the IL cluster are designed to provide theory, research base and practices in the art and sciences of improving student achievement, teaching and learning and curriculum.

The six courses comprising the AL cluster ensure the student has acquired the theory, research base and field experience to ensure a healthy school culture, supportive school/community partnerships, safe and nurturing school environment and high quality administrative operations. Efficient and effective school leaders must make data driven decisions.

The three courses in evaluation research which focus on asking the correct questions; acquiring reliable, valid and relevant data; and applying those data to instructional and administrative decision-making are required.
