Evaluate the Progress of your Degree with New eLion Feature
Saint Leo has launched a new and exciting feature on eLion that allows students to track their own degree progress. With a click of a button, students can view their program evaluation or use the "what if" capability allowing them to explore options of other majors. The "understanding your program evaluation" will help interpret the program evaluation. The program evaluation does not replace necessity of an academic advisor, but helps students to participate in their educational planning process.
"We are pleased to offer this service through eLion," said Registrar Karen Hatfield. "It is a tool intended to provide students additional access capabilities toward their educational planning and demonstrates Saint Leo University's commitment to providing excellent academic support services."
Veterans Educational Benefits Information
It’s hard to believe, however, the 2008/2009 academic year is fast approaching. Veterans using their educational benefits will again be required to email their intentions to the South Hampton Roads Center Veterans Coordinator prior to July 15, 2008. Veterans who do not email (See address below) their intentions (viz., full or half time) for the 08/09 school year prior to the July 15 deadline will only be certified on a term by term basis unless previously discussed and or arranged with the SHRC Veterans Coordinator.
Reminder - it is the responsibility of the student to notify the school's VA Coordinator of any changes in your enrollment status (viz., add/drop, withdrawal, or program changes.) Failure to do so may result in repayment of all overpaid benefits to the Veteran's Administration.
All Active Duty Students must submit their Veterans Educational Benefits applications or program changes through the SLU Little Creek office prior to receiving funds. Failure to do so may slow the application process and the reimbursement of funds.
Active Duty Students are reminded that if you do not email your request for funds to varep.hamptonroads@saintleo.edu prior to the applicable term, funds will not be requested in a timely manner. Please list each class for which you are requesting funds.
Students using Veterans Educational Benefits are not authorized to seek or add minors or double majors to their respective programs.
To schedule an appointment with the SHRC VA Coordinator, please call (757) 464-6449 or e-mail varep.hamptonroads@saintleo.edu. We have walk-in hours from 0900-1500 Mon-Thursday at the Little Creek Office. However, please call in advance.
Attendance Requirement
Any student who fails to attend at least one course session during the drop/add period will have his or her course registration dropped. If you have extenuating circumstances that require you to miss classes during this time period, you must contact the professor and make special arrangements. Contact information for professors (both classroom and Distance Learning) can be obtained from the Center. Students who have been dropped from classes after the first week of the term will receive an e-mail as well as written notification of the drop. Students who feel the drop was in error must contact the South Hampton Roads Center immediately.
