Billing statements are issued on or about the 15th of every month. All students with a balance greater than zero will receive a monthly billing statement. Payments are due prior to the start of a semester/term unless specifically deferred by Tuition Assistance, Tuition Remission, or the
University Online Payment System. Timely payments avoid late fee charges and/or financial holds on students' accounts. Late fees are assessed at 1% monthly (12% annually) beginning 60 days after the start of the semester/term. Unpaid balances at the end of the semester/term may be subject to third-party collections.

- Decreases in Amount Due from Student will adjust plan and periodic payment amount automatically.
The Saint Leo University Payment Plan option is not a loan program. Rather, it is a way to help students avoid borrowing money by extending the payment period. Payment Plans are available for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters/terms.
Refunds: Excess financial aid on the student’s account is refunded by check and mailed to the student’s permanent address on file. Financial aid is not disbursed until after the add/drop period each semester/term. If a credit exists on the student account after financial aid is disbursed, a refund will be issued within 14 days of the credit.
Return of Federal Financial Aid: Withdrawing students may have a portion of their Federal Title IV aid returned to the aid program reducing the original amount awarded. The amount of aid returned is calculated by a formula based on Federal regulations as a result of withdrawal. The student’s withdrawal date is the basis to determine eligibility for aid.
