faculty—including clergy, and experts in the Second Vatican
Council, Ignatian Spirituality and the Catholic-Jewish dialogue—use
a variety of instructional delivery methods, blending onsite
lectures, online discussion and video conferencing.
Saint Leo also offers a 36-credit hour M.A. in
Connect your classroom learning with community service or an
internship to gain leadership skills in liturgical and ministerial
service. Choose an area that interests you: lay pastoral ministry,
religious education, diaconal ministry, secondary education,
chaplaincy, or further graduate study.
Although we teach theology from the perspective of the Catholic
Christian Tradition, we are an ecumenical community in which
diverse perspectives share openly in the learning process. You may
come to the program with different beliefs and objectives from your
classmates, or perhaps without a background in academic
theology—and you will leave spiritually enriched, and with a
critical knowledge of biblical, systematic, historical, pastoral
and moral theology.
