Teaching & Professional Interests:

I teach several courses covering a wide variety of topics including: Invertebrate Zoology, Community Ecology, Evolution, Scientific Revolutions, Geographic Information Systems for Biologists, and Marine Biology.  I am fascinated by Biology, particularly marine ecology, and I love sharing that passion with my students when I teach.  My research in marine ecology is usually set in mangrove forests, where I have studied fish, invertebrates, birds, fungi, and the trees themselves.
