Brian Kyte has taught a wide range of chemistry courses including General Chemistry  (for majors and non-majors), Organic Chemistry (for majors and non-majors), Medicinal Chemistry, and Biochemistry (for graduate students, majors and non-majors). He practices the incorporation of novel, evidence-based teaching methods in the classroom. His research is focused on biocatalysis, transforming materials using recombinant enzymes as  catalysts.

Teaching & Professional Interests:

Teaching: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry. Professional interests include  asymmetric oxidation and reduction of carbonyls, thioethers, and sulfoxides using recombinant, whole-cell biocatalysis.
