Originally from upstate New York, I joined the Saint Leo faculty in 2008. I teach courses in the University Explorations program, including the foundational writing classes as well as Love and Desire in Literature, a course I recently designed. In addition, I teach several courses within the English major, including Introduction to Literary Studies, Literary Criticism, and several selected topics courses such as Multiethnic American Literature and Caribbean Literature.

Teaching & Professional Interests:

My teaching and research interests include women’s literature and gender studies, postcolonial and cultural studies, 20th and 21st century multiethnic American literature, and globalization and environmental justice in literature.
