Dr. Tammy Lowery Zacchilli began teaching at University campus in August 2007. She began teaching online in 2009 and was active in the development of the psychology degree offered through the Center for Online Learning. She teaches a variety of courses including social psychology, research methods I, II, and II, developmental psychology, child/adolescent development, close relationships, and the psychology of parenting. She also developed a faculty development training course on strategies for online teaching. She has served as the Faculty Advisor for the Saint Leo Chapter of Psi Chi since 2010. She is also the co-advisor for the Online Psychology Association. She is actively involved in research with undergraduates and has served on several different committees. She resides in Dade City with her husband, Mike, a 2015 Saint Leo graduate, and their three children: Alexis, Peyton, and Brayden.

Teaching & Professional Interests:

Dr. Zacchilli has over 60 conference presentations since 2007. She has several publications as well. Her research interests include close relationships, cyber bullying, the teaching of psychology, and the use of Facebook. Her dissertation resulted in the development of the Romantic Partner Conflict Scale which has been used in research projects in several countries including the United States, Canada, Malaysia, China, Turkey, Portugal, and Trinidad.
