Biography:

Dr. Embry is an Associate Professor of Communication and a member of the Saint Leo Community since 2013. 

Dr. Embry received his associate of arts (AA) degree from Florida College, his bachelor of arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) from Western Kentucky University, and his doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Memphis. Prior to teaching at Saint Leo University, Dr. Embry was the chair of the communication department for Florida College, researcher for the University of Memphis, and an adjunct professor of communication at Western Kentucky University.

Dr. Embry teaches CMM 101 Introduction to Communication, CMM 205 Professionally Speaking, CMM 301 Communication Theory, CMM 325 Organizational Communication, CMM 498 Teamwork in Organizations and is developing a new course entitled Digital Literacy. Dr. Embry also teaches in the MBA program for the university and serves on a number of dissertation committees for the DBA program. His research interest is computer-mediated communication. He is happily married to Katie and has four children (Emma, Jake, Kent and Abby). His house is never quiet and they are constantly behind on laundry. He loves his students and finds great reward in helping them navigate the college years.
