Dr. Gold is an Associate Professor of Management and has been a member of the Saint Leo Community since 2013.  Dr. Gold received his undergraduate degree in finance from The Ohio State University with a focus on investments and international finance.  He completed his doctoral studies with a Ph.D. in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus on strategic management and innovation management.  Prior to teaching at Saint Leo, Dr. Gold has taught at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Virginia Tech, and in The University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business highly regarded MIBS (IMBA) program.

Currently, Dr. Gold’s teaching focus at Saint Leo is in the MBA and DBA programs where he teaches professional development, organizational behavior, emotional intelligence, international management, leadership, and strategic management classes.  His primary areas of research include leadership and emotional intelligence and he has a number of projects underway in those areas.  

Teaching & Professional Interests:

In his spare time, Dr. Gold is a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, and is an avid scuba diver and a certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer with PADI.
