Biography:

Mr. Hatlem is in his tenth year at Saint Leo as an Instructor of Sport Business, following seven years as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Aquinas College in Michigan.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies, American Studies, and History from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, a Master’s degree in Sport Management from The Ohio State University, and has completed doctoral coursework in History and Philosophy of Physical Education and Sport at Purdue University in Indiana.

At Saint Leo Mr. Hatlem teaches Sport Governance and Social and Ethical Issues of Sport.  He has presented nationally and internationally primarily on facility issues and the Olympics.

Prior to teaching, Mr. Hatlem was an Intercollegiate Athletics administrator, mainly facility management and ticketing, at various mid-level Division I universities, including Rice University in Houston, Furman University in South Carolina, the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Idaho.  He also served as ticket manager at a professional tennis tournament.
