Shannon O. Jackson holds a PhD from Old Dominion
University in Urban Management, a Masters in Mass Communication
from Arizona State University and a B.S from Arizona State
University. Before joining the faculty of Saint Leo University in
1998, she taught at Ithaca College and Hampton University for more
than ten years. She has professional experience at Newport News
Shipbuilding , Argo Communications and Ramada Inns Corporate
offices in public relations. Dr. Jackson taught at Hampton
University and Ithaca College before joining Saint Leo University.
She is married and has two adult children.
Teaching & Professional
Dr. Jackson teaches Principles of Management,
International Business, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship
and Strategic Management at the undergraduate level and
Organizational Behavior, Leadership and International Business in
the on ground and online MBA program. She also teaches
Organizational Behavior in Saint Leo University’s DBA program. Her
research interests include organizational dynamics and group and
individual decision making as well as how technology impacts
learning. She has presented and published in venues like the
International Technology, Education and Development Conference in
Valencia, Spain; the Decision Sciences Institute; the Academy of
Business Research; the Society for the Advancement of Management;
the Sloan Consortium and the Atlantic Economic Conference. Dr.
Jackson is a member of the Decision Sciences Institute.
