Biography:

Dr. Lorrie McGovern began her career at Saint Leo University in October 2010. Prior to working at Saint Leo, she was at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. Previous employment also included work as a small business entrepreneur and as director of community development at the Bristol Chamber of Commerce.

Teaching & Professional Interests:

Graduate teaching includes the following areas: Doctoral Success Skills, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior.

Personal and professional interests are consistent with her areas of teaching. Specifically, Dr. McGovern is most passionate about entrepreneurship, international travel, and marketing. She enjoys traveling with MBA students on the international experience that includes the MBA 575 Global Business Management and MBA 597 Entrepreneurship courses. Recent international travel for the University included trips to Costa Rica, India, Panama, and Spain.

Her research interests include entrepreneurship, economic development and academic excellence.
