Before Dr. Shoe joined Saint Leo full time, he worked as both an internal and external consultant for Human Resources and Organizational Development for companies such as Verizon Wireless, FedEx Freight, Prodigy, Personnel Decisions Research Institute and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. He has lived in Tampa since 2001 and has 3 children.

Teaching & Professional Interests:

Dr. Shoe’s research interests include work-life balance, employee assessment, training efficacy, and the pedagogy of business as an academic discipline. Dr. Shoe also holds a Certificate in Safety Management from USF, and SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications in human resources. He teaches courses in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Employment Law and Management.
