Dr. Timothy (Tim) Wiseman is an Associate Professor of Accounting who has taught at the collegiate level for more than two decades, including classes ranging from Introduction to Computers for incoming freshmen to Advanced Multivariate Statistics for Doctoral students.  Dr. Wiseman has graduate degrees in Law (Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois), Personal Financial Planning (Master of Business Administration from City University), Accounting (Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Sarasota), as well as a graduate certificate in Computer Information Technology from Regis University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Certified Global Management Accountant, and he is a licensed member of the Florida Bar.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Dr. Wiseman has been a member of the Saint Leo Community since 2009.  His research interests include taxation and tax equity, as well as consulting on research design and statistics for research projects in various disciplines.  Dr. Wiseman has been a committee member and chair for numerous doctoral dissertation studies and recently co-presented a paper with his wife, Dr. Patricia (Tricia) Wiseman, who also teaches in the MBA program for Saint Leo, on using alternative assessments in an undergraduate Accounting course.  Tim and Tricia are also the founders of Candlelight Christian Academy, a private Christian school in Lake Wales, Florida, which provides education for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  This venture has given them significant entrepreneurial experience, as the school has grown from one employee and 11 students to approximately 20 employees and 165 students in its 14th year.
