Biography:
Dr. Suzie Cashwell holds  Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work. She also holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Social Welfare.  Masters and Doctorate degrees at the Florida State University’s College of Social Work.  She has over 20 years of practice experience in human service practice. Dr. Cashwell has work in the areas of child welfare, healthcare, and administration. She currently teaches across the Human Services curriculum, although, courses with a research or policy emphasis are her specialties.

Teaching & Professional Interests:
Dr. Cashwell’s teaching interest currently focuses on the integration of case studies into the curriculum. Her research interest varies including rural social work, child welfare, autism, poverty, and diversity. Dr. Cashwell has published both articles and book chapters in these areas. She has presented at over 50 regional, national and international conferences. She is a past president of the National Rural Social Work Caucus.
