I live in Ormond Beach, Florida. I have one son, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. I served in the United States Army Military Police Corps for 32 years and 4 months. My last tour of duty with the Army was an 18-month tour of duty in Afghanistan where I served as the senior mentor to the Minister of Interior. I have commanded from the lowest levels of command to the equivalent of Division level. I have deployed to other areas of the world such as Kosovo, Somalia, Honduras, Haiti, Macedonia, and Panama. Upon my retirement from the Army, I immediately became a full time faculty member at Saint Leo University. I am an assistant professor and I truly enjoy teaching and plan to continue both a career in law enforcement and education. My favorite past time is reading and cruising. I enjoy serving God and my country.

Improving the Criminal Justice System and the Department of Corrections by teaching students the latest trends and challenges in the criminal justice system. I am also involved with the Wounded Warrior Project in an attempt to helping veterans that attend Saint Leo University and select Criminal Justice as their field of interest. I also serve as one of the faculty advisors for the Online Criminal Justice Club. Serving in this position provides me with an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with students that are thirsting for knowledge surrounding the world of crime and corrections.  I recently completed Civilian Observer Training Program (COP) and now patrol and perform various duties to support the Community and the Volusia County Sheriff's Department.  This training and part-time work allows me an opportunity to stay informed on the changes in the law enforcement field and my experiences serving the community.
