Biography:
Graduated from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 1989 and served the public for over 25 years as a law enforcement officer in various positions as: Domestic Violence Investigator, Child Abuse Investigator, Elderly Abuse Investigator, and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) officer, Mounted patrol officer, International Police Mountain Bike Association officer, undercover operations and Community Police Officer. After retiring from Tampa Police Department, Dr. Mims instructed at Hillsborough Community College and Pasco Hernando State College before joining Saint Leo University in 2011.
