Biography:
Dr. Courtney Wiest has a Doctorate degree in Post-Secondary Education Leadership and a Master’s in Social Work. She is currently a full-time Assistant Professor in the MSW program at Saint Leo University in Dade City, Florida.  Along with her teaching duties, she is the Field Director for the MSW program. Dr. Wiest has been at Saint Leo for the last ten years.  Before she was a full-time instructor at Saint Leo, she was a Behavior Specialist at the local high school in Dade City, Florida. In her earlier career, she was in the field of social work working with children and families in the dependency system. Courtney Wiest’s current research interests are: goals are higher education and online learning, particularly related to “sense of community” in the online environment.
