Kate Wittrock specializes in the field of ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) in the department of Education.  She currently teaches EDU courses both online and face-to-face including EDU 222, EDU 341, EDU 342, EDU 340, EDU 427, and EDU 461.

She has presented at both national and international conferences in the field of ESOL and is an active member of International TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), FFLA (Florida Foreign Language Association), and SSTESOL (Sunshine State Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages). Prior to her arrival at Saint Leo University she served as a visiting instructor at the University of Tampa. Kate Wittrock received a B.A. from the University of Saint Thomas, and a M.A. from Hamline University.

Teaching & Professional Interests:
Ms. Wittrock’s research interests include teacher preparation and endorsement in ESOL and the use of technology in teaching English Language Learners. Ms. Wittrock has also lived, worked and taught in Ghana, India, and Ecuador, and Greece.
