Advisement and Evaluation Committee for Advanced Degrees in Sciences

The Saint Leo University Pre-Graduate Advisement and Evaluation Committee serves the role and function of providing application guidance to undergraduate students and alumni who are preparing to apply for admission to science related graduate programs. Students who are applying for admission into graduate programs may request interviews by the Committee, which provides the graduate schools students would like to apply with confidential written evaluations of the academic and personal qualifications of these candidates.

There is a timeline that must be followed when requesting letters of reference from this committee. Prospective students who wish to pursue entrance into graduate programs should contact the Pre-Graduate Advisor, Dr. Audrey Shor; to receive a timely response Advisement and Evaluation Committee must be included in the email subject line.

While, the majority of students who wish to pursue advanced degrees in such programs major in Biology, students who obtain degrees in other disciplines such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, Mathematics, and English have also received admission offers when the basic list of science and mathematics courses were paired with the respective major. Our students have been accepted to Florida, national, and international programs of study.
