Celebration of Academic Excellence

Be a part of the Saint Leo University Community for a Celebration of Academic Excellence.

The Celebration of Academic Excellence, formerly Academic Excellence Day, will be held on University Campus on Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 1:00-3:50pm with an awards ceremony at 4:00pm. Classes will have a shortened schedule to allow all to participate in the event starting at 1:00pm.

This important day is an opportunity to gather as a community and showcase the academic achievements of our University College students.

Students must have the sponsorship of a Faculty Mentor who has overseen the student(s)’ work, who attests to its readiness for the event, and who will complete and submit a new electronic submission form (below) on their behalf.

Students may present in one of two categories: (1) presentation or (2) poster/artwork session, but may not participate in more than one session. Presentation sessions will be held concurrently, with each presentation lasting 10 minutes. Poster/artwork sessions will be held in the Exhibition Hall (Kirk Hall 123 and 124), with two rotating sessions. Completed submission forms both for presentations and posters/artwork must be submitted by the Faculty Mentor no later than Tuesday, March 14th, by 5:00pm. No submissions will be accepted after the March 14th deadline.

Faculty Mentors will receive confirmation of the acceptance of their submissions and follow-up instructions shortly after the deadline.

For more information on submission criteria, please see the event submission form.

Faculty who are interested in moderating a session or have any questions concerning the event, please contact Dr. Mary Spoto, Dean of Arts and Sciences, at mary.spoto@saintleo.edu. We hope that you will join us for this special day to celebrate the hard work and the many successes of our students.
