Smart Computer Safety Habits for Children

March 3, 2017

Even young children need to learn good safety habits for computer and Internet use. So as a community service, each year members of Saint Leo University’s computer science and cybersecurity faculty visit schools or community sites to conduct safety lessons designed for small children. On March 3, Saint Leo hosted a pizza party and safety lesson for about 40 children at Challenger K-8 School in Hernando County, Florida. The children were already pretty savvy, but enjoyed talking more about safety smarts and playing a true-false game that reinforces safety awareness. They also received coloring sheets and take-home information. The children and their teachers welcomed Dr. Sangjin Hong and Ms. Eva Groudas.
