Spending a Semester Abroad

Saint Leo students have the opportunity to spend a semester or a year in a different country. Faculty-Led Short-Term Study Abroad

Many of our faculty members conduct classes in different countries over a brief one to two-week period. Faculty interested in organizing a student abroad course experience, please follow the link to Saint Leo’s intranet to learn more about the process and documents required for organizing these trips. In 2013-14, we launched study abroad trips to Panama, India, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, and Germany.

SERVE Trips Abroad

SERVE stands for “Students Engaged in Rewarding Volunteer Experiences”. SERVE trips are frequently organized for spring break, though they can leave during the summer or during winter inter-session. Recent SERVE trips have been planned for Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Brazil. Follow the link to find out more about SERVE.

YVAIN

YVAIN grants offer selected students the opportunity to apply for Saint Leo support to pursue a personal academic subject of interest during the summer of 2015 that s/he would otherwise be unable to pursue without such a grant. Health and Safety Issues

On campus, Saint Leo is known as one of the safest colleges in all of Florida. We strive to be among the safest and most prepared universities in sending students abroad. Faculty, staff and students need to register with Saint Leo’s risk management system provider AON before going on trips.
