Admission decisions for the Master of Accounting program are based on several criteria, including motivation, maturity, work experience and leadership qualities, along with academic records and test scores. Each applicant is evaluated individually.

Requirements

Master of Accounting applicants must meet the following requirements.

1. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
2. Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited college or university.
3. Minimum GMAT score of 500. Students with a minimum combined GPA and GMAT score of 1,050 [(GPA x 200) + GMAT] will be considered.
4. Students with non-accounting undergraduate degrees will be required to take the appropriate undergraduate courses.

Admission Process

Admission to Saint Leo University’s MAcc program is a simple, straightforward process. Applicants should submit the following materials 60 days before the beginning of the term in which they wish to enroll.

1. Application
   Fill out the online application or download, complete and return the application for graduate admission.
2. Application Fee
   Submit a one-time, non-refundable $80 application fee.
3. Official Transcripts
   Send official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you've previously attended to the Office of Graduate Admission. A United States equivalency evaluation must accompany transcripts from foreign institutions, which must be certified by an approved evaluation service. Graduates or former students of Saint Leo University do not need to submit transcripts if they have been previously been submitted and are on file. Download Transcript Request Form.
4. Professional Recommendation
   Arrange for two professional recommendations from work associates (current and former supervisors) or former professors. Recommendations must be completed on forms provided by Saint Leo. Download Professional Recommendation Form.
5. Resume
   Please submit a copy of your current resume. You may upload your resume into your application once your application is submitted.
6. Statement of Professional Goals
   Please complete an essay of approximately 250 words outlining your professional goals. You may upload your goals statement into your application once your application is submitted.
7. Official GMAT Scores
   Official GMAT test results should be mailed directly to the Director of Graduate Admission. Test scores more than five years old are not accepted. You can register for the GMAT at www.gmat.org.
8. Financial Aid & Payment Options
   Determine how you plan to pay for the program. If using Financial Aid, complete the FAFSA online. It is in your best interest to complete the financial aid process as early as possible.

Completed applications will remain active for two years. Conditional admission as non-degree-seeking students may be granted only for up to six semester hours of graduate work.

International Students

Applications from non-U.S. citizens are accepted as long as they are able to show a financial ability to pay, meet all of the academic requirements for admission, and have taken the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). All international students whose native language is not English are required to submit the TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 80 (Internet-based test). Applicants holding an undergraduate degree from an academic institution within the United States, an English-speaking country, or from an institution where the language of instruction is English are not required to take the TOEFL examination.
