Admitted to Saint Leo University? Congratulations!

Be sure to read the entire New Student Checklist to help prepare you for your transition to Saint Leo. You may also wish to download our helpful What's Next guide to keep on hand.

  1. Deposit
    Once you have been admitted to Saint Leo University, you will receive an admission packet. Click here to find out how to make your deposit.
  2. Activate and Access Your Saint Leo Student Email Account
    Download the instructions here for first-time access to your Outlook 365 student email account For assistance with questions regarding login and email, please contact University Technology Services at (352) 588-8888.
  3. Log In & Get Connected
         MySaintLeo: Instructions for accessing MySaintLeo can be found here. MySaintLeo is where you can review, accept and reject financial aid. Once you become a student, you will use the portal to register for classes and access academic information.
         eLion: eLion is an online portal that allows students to check class schedules, grades, account balances, and other important student-related information.
         Saint Leo Schools App: You will receive an invitation to join the Saint Leo Schools app beginning in mid- February. This mobile-based app will allow you to interact with your future classmates and get to know each other long before you arrive on campus this fall. Watch for your invitation and download the free app to get started. Contact your admissions counselor or the Office of Admissions at (352) 588-8283 if you have questions. 
  4. Plan to Attend New Student Orientation
    All incoming freshmen must participate in the New Student Orientation event to be held prior to the start of the semester unless other arrangements have been made. Transfer students are also encouraged to participate in the program. Details about this important event are provided on the web.
  5. Complete All Required Forms & Tasks
    All incoming students who have submitted their deposits will need to review information regarding orientation, health forms, insurance information, housing and more. Check out our helpful downloadable What's Next guide for information about these items. You must submit these materials by the indicated deadlines.   • Complete the Student Health History Form. Deadline: August 1, 2016
  • Review the Immunization Form Instructions in detail and then complete the Immunization Form. Note: This form requires signatures from a physician or public health official, as well as the signature of a parent/guardian if student is under the age of 18. Deadline: August 1, 2016
  • Review and complete the Residence Hall Application & Agreement online at, available after April 1, 2016. Required for all campus resident students only. Residence hall assignments will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for Fall 2016 housing applications: July 1, 2016
  • Review information concerning student health insurance requirements, including premiums, waiver access and deadlines after June 1, 2016. From this page, you will then be able to access and complete either a health insurance waiver or enrollment form after mid-July, 2016Note: International students may not waive this coverage unless they have coverage with a U.S. provider. Waiver deadline for students starting Fall 2016: TBA
  • Complete the Student ID photo submission process. Completing the request online will help avoid long lines at the beginning of the semester. Once we receive this request we will make the ID and it will be available for pick up upon arrival on campus, provided it is requested prior to August 10, 2016.
  • If you plan to have a car on campus, purchase a Parking Decal.
  • Have your parents complete the Parent Communication Form.

First-Time, First-Year Students

Placement Testing

Some incoming first-year, first-time students will need to complete placement testing in both math and English in order to have their schedules finalized.

Students meeting any of the following requirements do not need to complete placement testing but are welcome and encouraged to do so:

  • Bridge Program participant
  • Honors Program participant 
  • Students with combined GPA and test score minimums as follow:

3.5 GPA AND either
SAT score (Critical Reading + Math only) of 1150+ OR 
ACT score (Composite) of 25+

Ensure all required documents are complete:

  • I-20, passport and all support documents for travel are obtained and in hand
  • F1 Visa obtained
