Commencement to be Held at Four Centers Across Florida

Saint Leo, FLA. - Some 275 graduates from four Saint Leo centers will celebrate commencement this weekend. Degree earners from Gainesville, Palatka, Lake City and Key West will be honored at ceremonies across the state.

On Saturday, 92 graduates at the Saint Leo University Palatka Center will get their hard earned degrees at a 2 p.m. event to be held at the Florida School for the Arts in Palatka. Graduates will listen on as Dr. Robert Lee McLendon, president of St. Johns River Community College, presents the commencement speech. The Key West ceremony will feature Gen. Thomas Draude, retired U.S. Marine Corps brigadier general. He will speak to 44 graduates at the 5:30 p.m. event. It will be held at the Tennessee Williams Theater at Florida Keys Community College in Key West, Fla.

On Sunday, Dr. Charles W. Hall, president of Lake City Community College, will speak to 139 graduates at the Saint Leo University Gainesville Center and Lake City Office commencement ceremony. The event will be held at 3 p.m. at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Gainesville, Fla.
