Former U.S. Speaker at Saint Leo on November 14th

November 13, 2012

The Saint Leo University Speaker Series invites the public to attend “A Post-Election Conversation with Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert,” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, at University Campus. Admission is free and the event will be held in TECO Hall in the School of Business building, which is immediately visible upon entering campus.

Parking is free and available in campus lots and in the parking garage.

Wednesday’s presentation offers an insider’s perspective on national electoral politics. J. Dennis Hastert began representing Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1987. He became Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1999, an office he held through 2006, making him the longest-serving Republican speaker. He retired from Congress in 2007. He looks forward to questions from the audience.
