Government Shutdown and Federal Financial Aid
October 01, 2013
As of this time, the current government shutdown should have a minimal impact on the Federal Financial Aid Saint Leo University administers to our students. Though federal offices are closed, the Department of Education has assured the public that the majority of Title IV processors, contact centers, student loan lenders, student loan guaranty agencies, and federal aid web sites will remain operational. The University does not anticipate our students' Federal Financial Aid bearing any immediate or significant consequences as a result of this shutdown. Saint Leo University will continue to advocate on behalf of our students and work to ensure our students receive their financial aid funding.
If you have questions about your financial aid, please visit the Saint Leo University Financial Aid webpage or call Financial Aid Support toll-free at (800) 240-7658 to speak with a Financial Aid Liaison.
