January 26, 2006
All 1098-T forms will be mailed out to students on January 31,
2006.
Please note… Saint Leo University will not dispense tax
advice, and we are unable to answer any questions that relate to
determining your tax credit eligibility. You must consult a tax
advisor for this information. Additional information can be
obtained on the internet at www.irs.gov.
Box 2 (Amounts Billed for Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses)
of the form 1098-T, consists of tuition related activity on the
student account during the period of January 1, 2005 to December
31, 2005. This activity may include pre-registration charges for
the Spring 2006 term.
The Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses reported on the 1098-T
(Box 2) may be different from the Qualified Tuition and Related
Expenses you may deduct. If the student’s Qualified Tuition and
Related Expenses have been paid for by a third party, Box 2 of Form
1098-T reflects any Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses, less
the third-party payments.
If you require a statement of activity on your account for tax
purposes, please utilize your most recent billing statement, or you
may log onto www.saintleo.edu and obtain this information
through e-Lion.
If you are a student from our Center for Online Learning, you may
e-mail your request for a statement to customerservice@saintleo.com.
If you did not receive your 1098-T form, please call the Student
