Open House at SLU
September 14, 2006
A full day of events will enable students to learn more about
all aspects of life at Saint Leo. After registration and a light
continental breakfast, participants will enjoy the Academic/Student
Life Fair. At this event, guests will meet faculty and learn about
the various majors offered at the university. They will also hear
about the intercollegiate sports program and meet representatives
from many of the student interest and leadership organizations on
campus, including Greek life.
Guests will hear from Dr. Arthur
F. Kirk, Jr., University President, who will share his
thoughts on what distinguishes Saint Leo from the many college
choices available to prospective students. Admissions
representatives will also be on hand to help acquaint guests with
the admissions process.
Two panel discussions will follow, with prospective students and
their parents having the opportunity to ask questions of current
Saint Leo students.
College financing will also be highlighted in a presentation given
by a representative of the Sallie Mae Foundation and Jon Walsh of
Saint Leo’s Student Financial Services office. All student attendees will be entered
into a drawing for a $2,000 scholarship to Saint Leo.
Campus tours, with student guides, will be offered after lunch. In
addition, the offices of Undergraduate Admission and Financial
Services will be open for individual assistance in the
afternoon.
