Public Invited to New Documentary on Nonviolent Movement in the Mideast

Saint Leo University is hosting an airing of a recent documentary, The Little Town of Bethlehem, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, in the Student Community Center’s Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardroom C.  The event is free and open to the public.

Public Invited to New Documentary on Nonviolent Movement in the Mideast The independently produced film contains interviews with three young family men––one Christian, one Jewish, and one Muslim––about their commitment to nonviolent action in Israel and Palestine.  A panel discussion will follow the film, featuring Omer Ozbek, executive director of the Turkish Cultural Center of Tampa Bay; Father Daniel Kayajan of Saint Rita Roman Catholic Church of Dade City; and Barry Silber, of Hillsborough Community College.

The event is sponsored by Saint Leo University’s Division of Academic Affairs.
