Saturday Commencement in Tampa for MacDill Center Graduates

More than 150 individuals who studied at Saint Leo University’s Continuing Education Center at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa will receive their degrees at a commencement ceremony Saturday, June 12.
The event will be held at 11 a.m. on the campus of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa.
U.S. Air Force Colonel Lawrence M. Martin, Jr. (pictured), Commander of the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill AFB, will address the graduates. As commander, he is responsible for all operations of the wing, which provides worldwide air refueling support for specific ongoing Air Force missions, as well as assistance to U.S. Special Operations Command and other partners at MacDill.
Student Sturgis Griffin III, who is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems, will deliver the class farewell.
The degrees presented at the ceremony will include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in criminal justice, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Applied Science, and Associate of Arts in liberal arts.
Saint Leo University has been educating adult students at MacDill AFB since 1974.
