Second International Business Conference at University Campus
February 07, 2011
Business professionals,
scholars, and undergraduate and graduate students readying
themselves for a career in business are all invited to the second
International Business Conference, to be held from Wednesday
evening, February 16, through Friday, February 18, 2011, at the
Student Community Center at University Campus.
“The Saint Leo University School of Business is excited to once
again host this International Business Conference,” said Eric C.
Schwarz, Ph.D., conference director. “The goal of the
conference is to bring together the local business community, the
Saint Leo University community, academicians from around the globe,
and relevant speakers to discuss pertinent issues related to
international business.”
After a welcome dinner on Wednesday evening, participants and
attendees will convene for two full days of presentations.
University President Arthur F. Kirk, Jr., will speak Thursday
morning to the conference audience. The keynote speech, from author
and consultant David Pearce Snyder (pictured, left), on “The Future
of International Business Education,” will take place during lunch
Thursday.
On Friday, luncheon speaker Jose Valiente, CPA (pictured, right),
from the Tampa office of Larson Allen LLP and past president of the
Florida Institute of CPAs, will discuss “The Future of Change with
Cuba.”
Just a few of the other topics scheduled for presentations
include: the impact of the North American Free Trade Agreement;
responses to environmental disasters; and Iraq’s
unemployment.
More information on presentations, conference fees, and
accommodations is available at the conference web page.
