SLU Alumna Finishes in Top Five at Miss America Pageant

Shannon Schambeau ’03/05 is the envy of many young girls today.
The Saint Leo University alumna finished fourth runner-up at this
year's Miss America Pageant held in Las Vegas on January
21st.
Schambeau has competed in a number of prestigious pageants.
In 2005, she was the first runner-up in the Miss Florida race and
was Miss Pinellas in 2004. In 2005, she was crowned Miss District
of Columbia.
She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Saint Leo
and was the Most Outstanding Student in the School of Business in
2004. Her mother Betty Schambeau '67 worked at Saint Leo for many
years, and her father Gerald ’62 is a graduate of Saint Leo
Prep.
