University Campus Goes Blue for World Autism Day Awareness

April 03, 2014

Each April, Autism Speaks celebrates Light It Up Blue, along with international autism community, to benefit Autism Speaks. World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated on April 2 annually, was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 to shine a bright light on autism as growing global health crisis.

Autism Speaks is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization. It is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

The front entrance towers at University Campus are lit up in blue and a banner is displayed to show our support and to bring awareness of the disorder to our community.
